Specialized Training
Dr. Dachman is native to Rockford, IL and is a proud graduate of Rockford Christian High School. He completed his undergraduate degree in Public Health Studies at Johns Hopkins University, which is consistently ranked as the number-one school of public health in the world. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Dachman returned home to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
While in dental school, Dr. Dachman garnered many awards most notably the coveted Albert Schweitzer Fellowship for his work with children with special healthcare needs and the University-wide Jane Addams Distinguished Service Award. Following dental school, Dr. Jake went on to complete advanced training through a specialized pediatric residency program at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, which is currently ranked as the number-one children's hospital in the nation.
In his final year of residency, Dr. Dachman was awarded the prestigious American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) Resident Recognition Award, which is only awarded to four graduating residents in the country. Dr. Jake is passionate about furthering his craft by actively taking part in research, continuing education, and local study clubs, learning about new treatment options and innovations in the dental industry to continue to provide the very best care possible.
Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist
As a board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Jake is a Diplomate with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentists (ISPD), and the American Dental Association (ADA).
Passion for Helping Special Children
Dr. Jake has a passion for serving all children, including those with special needs. His goal is to make sure every child feels special, gets the personalized attention and care they need, and has an amazing dental experience. He loves to sing songs, tell silly stories, and connect with the little ones in his chair about their dreams and aspirations.
